Family Routines are important and make lasting
memories. Family life might be more chaotic without some routine, but there’s
more to it than that. Routines also let your children know what’s important to
your family. Highly meaningful routines are sometimes called rituals.
These can help strengthen your shared beliefs and values, and build a sense of
belonging and cohesion in families.
We’ve learned that our children love to
read so we now read in the bed before bed. CJ has learned that even though he can't read the words yet, he can read the pictures and he loves to tell his own story. We use this time to spend time together to wind down before bed by reading a book of our choice.
Post one of your family routines, we would love to hear what you do.
