Check Out Our NC Pre-K Program

Do you want a rich learning environment for your four-year-old rising Kindergartner? Partners In Learning has openings for their free state funded NC Pre-K program.

Your child should turn four by August 31, 2015 to be eligible. Contact Smart Start Rowan for other eligibility requirements or drop by PIL to fill out an application and we can forward it to Smart Start for you.

Check out some of the many learning experiences our children had this school year.

2014-2015 NC Pre-K children at their graduation program singing in English and Chinese.

Why yes these children are learning about fractions. Not only did they dramatize in the home living area with play dough but they also enjoyed making real pizza later in the week.

Learning about family roles allows children to problem solve, understand family dynamics and care for others.

Building with blocks teaches math skills like spatial relations, construct, problem solving, balance and motor planning.

Sensory table play where children can pour, scoop, measure, sort and have their senses ignited by varying textures is always a popular center in the classroom.

In the science area this child is studying the weather for the day by looking at actual weather charts and is ready for the rain in his raincoat.

Every classroom has an outdoor garden plot to plant fruits, veggies, or flowers depending on the season. These ladies are inspecting their spring flowers.

What? You can learn and have fun with shoes??? Of course, these boys and girls are learning to pair shoes and see how many can fit on the paper.

To top off all the fun of a school day these children are enjoying the outdoor learning environment. There is a natural creek in the wood where they can explore, investigate and observe. Also, there is a reading hut much like an outdoor classroom.
